A little about Mark and Brenda:

Mark Johnstone and Brenda Johnstone currently reside in the small coastal community of Bayou Vista, Texas. Bayou Vista is located across the bay from Galveston Island, Texas. They spend their days fishing, crabbing, bird watching and enjoy the beautiful sunsets across the unobstructed bay and marsh. Mark has a love for Geology and Brenda loves to travel. Put those together and you can imagine why we ventured to Costa Rica to view Volcano Arenal.

A little about the Human Botfly:

The human botfly is known by many names in many locations. It is sometimes called a warble fly, torsalo, botfly, bot-fly, botflies and of course the Human Botfly ( Dermatobia hominis ). It is found from southern Mexico stretching down into mid South America. Some great, more detailed information on human botflys can be found in the doctor’s reports in our Medical Reports section.
